Whitehill Welfare resign from East of Scotland

The East of Scotland League can confirm that Whitehill Welfare have today resigned from the League.

Whitehill have been involved in the East of Scotland League for the past thirty-four years and in a statement there Secretary Andrew Renwick said “Whitehill Welfare has been elected as member of the newly formed Scottish Lowland Football League and its with regret that we have to tender our resignation from the East of Scotland League. Over the past thirty-four years its been a pleasure being a member of the League and during that time many friendships have been formed with other teams in the league, and we hope this will continue.”

Andrew Renwick has also represented the East of Scotland League on the SFA Council and Non Professional Game Board.

A league spokesperson said “Firstly we wish all the clubs who have been selected to play in the Lowland League all the very best for the season. Andrew has worked tirelessly to represent the East of Scotland League over the years and his commitment and effort will be a great loss to us. We would like to thank Andrew for all his work and wish him well in the future”.
